Blue Rockfish

Blue rockfish grow to 53cm (21in). They are mottled blue-black to bright blue and have two to four dark bands that curve around the front of their head. Adults in shallow water tend to remain in a fixed locale, while fish in deeper water are more mobile. Groups of blue rockfish segregate according to size and sex, the males and females only mix for mating.
