Belted Sandfish

The belted sandfish grow to 2.5-3.5 inches and live between 2-120 feet of depth. They have a pointed head, a white patch on the belly, and a prominent wedge-shaped "belt" that starts in front of the dorsal fin. Belted sandfish like to swim around sea grass beds and rocky reefs, hunting for small invertebrates.
